Illustri, Benj (hm) 889-?, Triscot/Near Port
Secretary of State of the Balance. Brother of Macen and son of Xander Illustri (see Second Order). Originally a childhood friend of Darius, though more of an academic rival, really. He comes from an affluent clan, which sided with the Order during the Coming. In 912, he betrayed his clan to Lonewanders, believing more in the Chaos' cause than in the Order. He was then disowned by his clan, leaving him will little money and no status. He never officially joined the Chaos Rebellion, however, mainly because he doesn't much like Darius or any of the others. Later, when Darius founded the nation known as the Balance, Benj became a liaison between the Balance and the Chaos, in the nation's earliest stages. Once things settled down a bit, became an official ambassador, and later Secretary of State. However, he continues to frequently disagree with Darius, and doesn't really have many friends. He's not particularly happy with his life, but he is glad to have such a powerful position and large salary. He's often frustrated when Darius doesn't let him do his job exactly as he sees fit, however.

Streetrat, Talon (hm) 886-?, Tonad, wanders
street rat, best friend of Perryh Streetrat. A bit crazy, but not quite like Tiejo, who he met in 902, but had been friends with Perryh for a few years. Helped found the Streetrat Fellowship in 912. Named after the Talon who invented the printing press, and was the first to mention, when they met, that he and Perryh were both named after historical figures.
Sullenhest, Arnold (hm) 887-?, Triscot
chief spy of the Streetrat Fellowship, he reports directly to Tiejo. He allows Tiejo to refer to him as "Arnold Streetrat," though he's never actually been a street rat, and in spite of his affiliation with the organization Tiejo started, he would prefer no one else call him by that name. Formerly a dealer in black market commodities, a trade in which he still dabbles from time to time, though now it's mainly as a cover for his real job.
